2023 Be A Good Neighbor Block Parties

You're invited to the Be A Good Neighbor 2023 Block Parties!

This August and September, join the Office of Engagement and Community Affairs throughout Oakland for an evening of fun, food, prizes, meeting your neighbors, and making connections!

Who's invited?

You! All Oakland residents and the Pitt community are invited to attend one or all of the block parties. No registration is required; just check in once you arrive!

What's included?

Free food and good conversation! Enjoy an evening hanging out with your neighbors, listening to music, and get a chance to win some prizes. Plus, meet with and learn more about one or all of our many community partners: Carnegie Libraries, Carnegie Museums, Phipps Conservatory, Kidsburgh, Playful Pittsburgh, a variety of Pitt departments, and more!

When and Where are the Block Parties?

All of the block parties take place from 5 to 7 p.m., rain or shine.

August 29 Oakland Square: Oakland Square Greenspace, Dawson Street at Oakland Square
September 5 West Oakland: The Corner, Terrace Street between Robinson and Whitridge Streets
September 12 North Oakland: Gallagher Lawn at 234 North Dithridge Street
September 19 Oakcliffe: Oakcliffe Playground, Craft Avenue and Niagara Street
September 26 South Oakland: Dan Marino Field at 3716 Frazier Street
